History
Underbelly is a UK based live entertainment company. In Edinburgh, we run Underbelly at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe – one of the largest venue operations at the largest arts festival in the world – and Edinburgh’s Christmas. In London, we produce the Udderbelly and London Wonderground Festivals at Southbank Centre, West End Live in Trafalgar Square and London Pride. Our iconic upside-down purple cow venue, the Udderbelly, is an annual fixture on both the London and Edinburgh skylines. In Stratford-upon-Avon, we produce the annual Comedy Hullabaloo with the RSC. Through our Underbelly Productions arm we also produce and promote live shows for UK and international touring. In short, we’re all about entertaining people… and in 2013 over 750,000 people bought tickets to our shows.
WHO THEY ARE
Underbelly was founded by directors Ed Bartlam and Charlie Wood in 2000 to operate one venue at the Edinburgh Festival. Suffice to say, it’s grown! We have a fabulous cow crew that includes:
