A New musical Ain’t too Proud with music and lyrics by The Temptations and a book by Dominique Morisseau. Based on the story of The Temptations, the musical had a series of regional productions and is beginning previews at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre in February 2019 ith opening Night 31 March 2019.

MASKS REQUIRED: All guests must wear a properly fitting mask over the nose and mouth in the theatre except when eating or drinking in designated areas.

VACCINATIONS REQUIRED: All guests must be fully vaccinated to enter the theatre and must present digital or physical proof at the door. To be fully vaccinated, ticket holders must have received all required doses of their type of vaccine at least two (2) weeks prior to the date of the performance. Children ages 5 – 11 must be vaccinated with an FDA or WHO authorized vaccine OR present a negative test to attend the show. Children under 5 and people with a medical condition or closely held religious belief that prevents vaccination may show proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

PHOTO ID: Guests ages 18 and older must present a valid government-issued photo ID. Guests under 18 may also show a school photo ID. Guests under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who meets the above requirements. Guests who do not comply with these policies will be denied entry or asked to leave the theatre.

Imperial Theatre

 


The Imperial Theatre is a Broadway theatre located at 249 West 45th Street (George Abbott Way) in midtown-Manhattan. The theatre seats up to 1417 people. The Shubert Organization’s fiftieth venue in New York City, it was constructed to replace their outdated Lyric Theatre. Designed by Herbert J. Krapp specifically to accommodate musical theatre productions, it opened on December 25, 1923 with the Oscar Hammerstein II-Vincent Youmans production Mary Jane McKane. Since then, it has hosted numerous important musicals, including Annie Get Your Gun (1946), Fiddler on the Roof (1964), Dreamgirls (1981), The Mystery of Edwin Drood (1985) and Les Misérables (1990), which played at the theatre until 2003. Billy Elliot the Musical played at the theatre from November 2008 until January 2012.
