Alex Sharpe announced via twitter he will be leaving  Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, after 12 months playing Christopher Boone in the award and box office winning play.

Alex Sharp was born in London but grew up traveling constantly. He closed out his time at Juilliard (from which he graduates end of May) playing Hally in Athol Fugard’s Master Harold…and the Boys, while simultaneously directing a production of A Clockwork Orange the play, which he also adapted. Alex made his Broadway debut in Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time and won the Tony Award for his performance.

Alex is playing the role of Fifteen-year-old Christopher, who is exceptionally brain but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life. When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor’s dog, he sets out to identify the true culprit, which leads to an earth-shattering discovery and a journey that will change his life forever.
