Broadway Backwards, the only annual Broadway event custom-made for the gay and lesbian community, our friends and families, will return for a special 10th anniversary edition March 9 2015, Al Hirschfeld theatre.

This year’s show will include some of the biggest showstopping acts from previous editions of Broadway Backwards and will feature the return of many of the show’s most popular performers, including Tony Award winners Len Cariou, Lena Hall, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Lillias White, Tony nominees Charles Busch, Mario Cantone, Robin de Jesús, Norm Lewis, Lee Roy Reams and Douglas Sills, and Broadway favorites Jim Brochu, Tituss Burgess, Jenn Colella, Harvey Evans, Julie Halston, Shawna Hamic, Ann Harada, Florence Henderson, Jackie Hoffman, Aaron Lazar, Telly Leung, Maureen McGovern, Brian Charles Rooney, Jason Michael Snow, Micah Stock and Tony Yazbeck.

Produced by Broadway Cares, Broadway Backwards benefits BC/EFA and the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center of New York City.

Creator Robert Bartley will again direct and choreograph the show. Also returning are Mary-Mitchell Campbell as music supervisor and Tim Rosser as music director. Adam Roberts serves as associate choreographer with lighting design by Ryan O’Gara and costume design by Bernadette Banner.

“I’m thrilled to welcome back so many talented performers for this special 10th edition of Broadway Backwards,” Bartley said. “Through the nine editions of Broadway Backwards so far, we’ve been able to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars that help provide lifesaving medications, counseling and support for LGBT youth and those struggling with HIV/AIDS.”

Broadway Backwards began as a grassroots concert performed at The Center in 2006. In subsequent years, the event grew quickly, performing Off-Broadway, then on Broadway since 2008.
