Jim Dale’s “Just Jim Dale” arrives in London Vaudeville Theatre

Jim Dale, MBE an English-American actor, voice artist, and singer-songwriter. He is best known in the United Kingdom for his many appearances in the Carry On series of films and in the US for narrating the Harry Potter audiobook series, for which he received two Grammy Awards, and the ABC series Pushing Daisies. In the 1970s, Dale was a member of the National Theatre Company. On May 15th. 2014, The Roundabout Company will present “Just Jim Dale” for a twelve week season at the Laura Pels Theatre, New York. The creative team for the show, Richard Maltby (Director), Mark York (pianist and co-arranger), Aaron Gandy (music direction by co-arranger), Anna Louizossets, set designer, Rui Rita, (lights) and Carl Casella, (sound).

Tony Award® winner, two-time Grammy Award® winner and Academy Award® nominee Jim Dale (Roundabout’s The Road to Mecca,The Threepenny Opera) returned to the Roundabout stage to star in his brand new solo show! Directed by Tony winner Richard Maltby, Jr.Fosse,Ain’t Misbehavin’,Just Jim Dale is a hilarious and heartwarming tour-de-force performance from one of the most masterful entertainers of his generation and now travels to the UK in 2015.

Scapino, Barnum and Me and My Girl, to his uproarious experiences narrating all seven “Harry Potter” audiobooks. Candid and intimate, Just Jim Dale is an unforgettable journey through an extraordinary career, told through incredible stories and beloved songs, including “The Colors of My Life,” “The Lambeth Walk” and “Georgy Girl.” This spring, spend an evening with the incomparable Jim Dale as he shares his passion for the stage, for storytelling and for making people laugh!
