Matilda the Musical is a stage musical based on the children’s novel of the same name by Roald Dahl. It was adapted by Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin. The musical’s narrative centres on Matilda, a precocious 5-year-old girl with the gift of telekinesis who loves reading, overcomes obstacles caused by her family and school, and helps her teacher to reclaim her life

Matilda open on Broadway March 4, 2013, as a great success to the 2013 season, Total performances as of 04/17/2016 is 1258. The Musical also won 4 Tony awards (2013) including  Featured Actor Gabriel Ebert, Best Book by Dennis Kelly, Best Scenic Design William Ivey Long and Best Lighting Design Hugh Vanstone. Les Misérables is a sung-through musical based on the novel Les Misérables by French poet and novelist Victor Hugo. Premiering in Paris in 1980, it has music by Claude-Michel Schönberg, original French lyrics by Alain Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel, with an English-language libretto by Herbert Kretzmer. This is the second revival of Les Miserables on Broadway, the original opened on Broadway March 12, 1987 with great success and ran until May 18, 2003 and after 6,680 performances its up there with the longest running musicals on Broadway. Les Miserables returned in 2006, opening on Nov, 09 closing Jan 06 2008 after 463 performances at the Broadhurst Theatre. The latest production opened in March 23, 2014 with Ramin Karimloo (Broadway Debut)  as Jean Valjean and Will Swenson as Javert and Directed by Laurence Connor and James Powell and will close Sept 04, 2016 with 864 performances as of 04/17/2016.
