Matthew Morrison Last Performance and Kelsey Grammer
Returns to “Finding Neverland”
Matthew Morrison, the star of Finding Neverland, now playing at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre New York is leaving the Broadway musical next month and will play his final performance on January 24th 2015. Matthew has been playing J.M. Barrie, the British Playwright who wrote Peter Pan and Has been with the show from the first previews in March 2015. At this stage no replacement has been named, however reported on Broadway.com back in October 2015 that Harvey Weinstein had Chris Pine in Mind to replace Matthew.
With his contract expiring; the show has not yet announced a replacement. Morrison had previously starred on Broadway in Hairspray, South Pacific and The Light in the Piazza, for which he was nominated for a 2005 Tony Award. He played choir director Will Schuester on Glee for six seasons. Kelsey Grammer will return on the January 15th 2015 for a limited engagement, Kelsey also has been with the production since previews on Broadway back in March 2015. However Kelsey took leave and was replaced by Australian stage star Anthony Warlow threw to September 2015, know for his role as Daddy Warbucks in Annie and has played many performances as the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the opera. Anthony was replaced by Tony nominee Terrance Mann and it also has been announced that Terrence and Carolee Carmello will move to the Spring Production of “Tuck Everlasting”.
