Allyson Kaye Daniel (Swing)
Allyson is very pleased to join the Sistas! The Musical family with this wonderful cast. She hails from Washington, DC where she started singing, as most do, in her church choir at the age of four. Her love for theatre was discovered at age ten during a summer youth program at Howard University. The very next summer, that love was solidified when she played her first BIG role, Evilene in The Wiz!! For High School, she attended the prestigious Duke Ellington School of the Arts where her love of theatre continued to grow. The teachers at Ellington convinced her that Theatre could be her life and of to college she went. Finally, she received her degree from Penn State and has since toured the World by both land and sea. One of her most memorable experiences was a trip to South Africa with Penn State’s choir, Essence of Joy, where they toured from Johannesburg to Cape Town. Some of her favorite roles include: BJ in Smokey Joe’s Cafe, Church Lady Darlene in The Color Purple, Penelope Pennywise in Urinetown, Rona Rivers on Disney Cruise Line, Deb in Elf and Carmen in Sweet Charity
